Who is William Wilberforce and is he in heaven? William Wilberforce, a wealthy British politician with many friends like John Newton and William Pitt, was introduced to the Christian faith early in life, ignored it for many years, but in the end came back to faith and by the end of his life he had almost single handedly and successfully ended slavery in Britain after decades of fighting for the cause, and most certainly by the grace of God is a current citizen in heaven.
